This is the only official Panerai model with an engraved protective bridge. Essentially an engraved version of the PAM372, the V9 factory used the original 372 mold for engraving, ensuring a perfect 1:1 replica in case shape and dimensions. It features a manual-winding movement, a 47mm case, and a domed sapphire crystal with scratch-resistant properties. At its core, this timepiece represents the beloved and traditionally styled PAM372, now enhanced with exquisite engraving. The watch has a black dial adorned with a sunburst guilloché pattern, engraved with ‘Firenze’—Panerai’s birthplace and the inspiration behind this piece—complemented by the floral motif of the Florentine lily, creating a captivating aesthetic. Like many Panerai watches, it features a ‘sandwich’ dial design, providing exceptional luminescence. The PAM972 is intricately engraved not only on the case, lugs, and protective bridge but also on the movement, ensuring overall visual harmony. The movement engraving achieves a balanced artistic effect: densely decorated patterns surround the edges of the bridges, while the central area maintains elegance through geometric lines and a refined iris flower motif. In contrast to the handcrafted engravings on the case, the movement’s patterns are created using laser technology.
