PVD plating offers a layer thickness of only 2–4 micrometers (μm), which preserves the underlying sunburst pattern. In contrast, traditional paint layers are typically over 100 μm (1–2 ‘silk’ units), resulting in unstable color and obscured sunburst textures. The black sunburst finish at the center of the chronograph sub-dials and the CD-like edge detailing are precisely replicated from the genuine piece using one-to-one mold technology.
