Left: Standard version, Right: Official version. It can be seen that the appearance and accessories of both are identical with no difference at all. The only distinction lies in the movement. The official version features the genuine VS4131 movement, which is mold-developed to match the Swiss 4131 in structural design. The preliminary version is a modified 4131—apart from adopting a single-directional winding mechanism and slightly shorter power reserve, its performance is otherwise identical to the original 4131. Features such as the column wheel and vertical clutch remain intact, ensuring durable chronograph functionality and low return-for-repair rates. You can think of it as having the same structure as the true 4131 except for the automatic winding module. Therefore, its cost-performance ratio is quite good; even in its ‘downgraded’ form, it significantly outperforms the 7750. Priced competitively against 7750-based Daytona models, this marks the replacement of the 7750 era. Real images of both movements are available—please refer to the pictures. Price: Preliminary version at $2700, first batch discounted by $100, final price $2600; Official version at $4000.
