I really don’t want to call it a trash bag because it’s absolutely stunning—anything but trashy. The moment you wear it, you’ll fall in love instantly. Trying this piece on reminded me of my original passion for luxury brands—it all started with YSL. My first designer bag over a decade ago was also from YSL. After all these years, that affection has come full circle.
YSL used to embody an elegant, restrained kind of allure—sophisticated and subtly sensual. Those who wore it always struck me as slender, effortlessly chic beauties. But recently, the brand’s designs have taken on a more relaxed, slouchy vibe, perhaps reflecting broader fashion trends. This Jamie bag, part of the popular ‘trash bag’ style that’s emerged in recent years, is by far my favorite. Worn in person, it looks incredibly flattering.
YSL is becoming increasingly accessible and easy to wear—whether that’s a good or bad evolution, I’m not sure. But personally, I’m completely smitten with this piece. The size and capacity are perfectly balanced, the leather is beautifully soft, and most importantly, the shoulder strap length is just—just—right.
