Hand-Pulled Gold Wire with Enamel and White Mother-of-Pearl Inlay Jewelry

$999.00

This piece features a craftsmanship process involving hand-pulled gold wire, followed by enamel filling and firing. Due to this technique, it is not recommended to wear while bathing. The white mother-of-pearl component involves an intricate process—two segments of gold are individually twisted with fine wire, sandwiching a central piece of white mother-of-pearl. Small gaps may exist between components, and a slight sound when gently shaken is normal and not indicative of quality issues. Please note that mother-of-pearl must avoid contact with water, perfume, cosmetics, or hot spring water, as these can damage its luster. (Though yes—we know, oysters live in water their whole lives. The irony, right?)

The center openwork design is plated with 22K gold over a V-gold base metal—the most technically challenging part of the piece—and is water-resistant, making it suitable for wearing during showers. Bold in size and elegant in appearance, the refined details and background coloration stand out clearly. Especially the white mother-of-pearl, which from a distance appears as a sparkling, luminous expanse.
