Only after trying this bag on did I recall my original passion for luxury brands was sparked by YSL. My first designer bag over a decade ago was also from YSL. After all these years, that affection has returned.
YSL used to exude elegance and restraint—sophisticated yet subtly sensual. In my eyes, only slender, chic women could truly pull off their designs. But in recent years, the brand’s aesthetic has become more relaxed, perhaps influenced by shifting fashion trends. This Jamie bag, part of the recently popular ‘trash bag’ style, is my absolute favorite so far—because it looks stunning when worn.
YSL has become increasingly accessible and wearable. I’m not sure whether that’s good or bad, but personally, I’m completely smitten with this piece. The size and capacity are just right, the suede is beautifully soft, and most importantly, the shoulder strap length is absolutely perfect.
